Floor Mounted (Style Wf )

Floor mounted heater guards ( Wf ) are used mainly for storage heaters and fan convectors but are suitable for any convective type of heater. Skirting cutouts are provided as standard, and these can also be used for cable entry to the heater.

 

Wall Mounted (Style Ww )

Wall mounted heater guards ( Ww ) are used mainly for electric convectors, tubular heaters, and wall mounted fan convectors. A built in 15mm gap along the underside back edge allows for cable entry anywhere along the length of the guard.

GENERAL
Wireshield Heater Guards are offered in two basic styles, Floor Mounted ( Wf) and Wall Mounted ( Ww) and are used to protect all natural, fan assisted convector and tubular convector heaters

SIZES
All Wireshield guards are made to order on a made to measure basis to suit the individual customer. We have a range of standard sizes for the more common heaters and can produce guards for any make and model of heater both new or old.

CONSTRUCTION
The guards are of all welded construction, manufactured from 1.5mm mild steel sheet CR4 BS 1449 and 25mm x 25mm x 3mm heavy duty weld mesh. All projecting edges are formed with a large radius, resulting in a bull nose on the projecting corners. The wire panels are welded to the side panels and cross ribs are provided in a position to suit

 

the model of heater where necessary. A hinged lockable access panel and key is provided as standard for adjustment of controls in the most appropriate position. All locks are keyed alike and multiple keys are provided with each order. The guard bracketing system is designed for easy removal to facilitate cleaning and maintenance.

FINISHES
The complete range of BSMW convector heater guards are finished as standard in electrostatically applied and oven cured polyester powder white RAL 9016 gloss to provide an attractive, durable finish. Other colours are also available at additional cost.

LABELING
All Wireshield heater guards are dispatched with a self-adhesive yellow warning label for attaching in a prominent position stating “ Danger! Do not Cover".
