CLEARANCES
The following minimum clearances should be added to the
overall dimensions of each floor mounted heater guard.
Height
100mm minimum above the top of the heater.
Depth
80mm from the front face of the heater.
Length
150mm to the overall length of the heater for the internal
brackets.

Note
that the length assumes the fused switch serving the
heater is sited external to the guard. If the isolator
is internal, then the guard will need to be longer.
ACCESS
PANELS
Hinged, lockable, access panels are provided as and
when required, in the most suitable position for controls
access. This is normally in the front or side of the
guard. Access in the top face is unsuitable as this
blocks the grillage and leads to the access panel
becoming hot.
